The Mode Museum is known for its experimental fashion exhibitions and bold curatorial vision. Despite its immersive and dynamic atmosphere, its current branding and visual identity feel rather traditional and simple. The reason I want to rebrand the museum is to capture that uni and translate it into a more expressive and contemporary graphic identity.

    LOGO CONCEPT

This identity is built from two overlapping “M”s that explore the ideas of layering, mirroring, and the duality within fashion. The custom slab serif form creates a grounded, enduring presence that reflects Mode Museum’s role in preserving fashion history and culture. Where the letterforms intersect, a dotted line emerges as a subtle reference to stitching, symbolizing the thread that connects past and future. The mirrored structure invites a sense of self-reflection, echoing how fashion becomes a language for expressing identity. Together, these elements form a mark that bridges heritage and transformation, capturing MoMu’s mission to honor tradition while inspiring new directions in contemporary fashion.
