Even in today's society, there remains a pervasive culture of toxic masculinity. If a man likes makeup, has a unique fashion sense, or possesses interests different from the majority, he is often labeled as lacking "masculinity." These prejudices prevent men from courageously being themselves. 

"He" is a platform for various men to share their style and make new friends. Users can confidently express themselves on this app, posting freely and comfortably about their fashion choices or interests. This allows people with similar interests to connect and form friendships through each other's posts.

Another important function of the app is its ability to create the perfect makeup look for different occasions that perfectly fits users' facial features and personal style. The app then provides step-by-step tutorials to teach them how to achieve these looks. Additionally, it helps users find and purchase suitable products directly within the app.


LOGO

The black App logo is the most fundamental representation, reflecting the universal style and colors of most men. 

The logo can also appear as an eyeshadow palette; a silver eyeshadow palette logo, in particular, enhances the sense of futurism and uniqueness, embodying my optimistic vision for future society. 

When the Rainbow App logo is displayed, it represents that everyone has their uniqueness, is all wonderful, and deserves to be seen.




PROCESS | INTERVIEW

After interviewing the manager at the Mac cosmetics store, I gained valuable insights that inspired my app function design. 

With the rise of social media, more men are concerned about their appearance and want to learn makeup, not just those traditionally seen as more feminine. Men need makeup for various reasons, such as covering imperfections and attending important events ... 

The key discovery is that many men want to use makeup but lack the knowledge of the skills and are unsure about which products to buy. This software aims to address these needs by teaching men how to apply makeup, guiding them to suitable products, and providing personalized beauty advice, thus enhancing their confidence and appearance.




HOME PAGE | SHARING

When users first enter the app, they can see a variety of posts from different users showcasing their fashion outfits, makeup looks, or nail art. This visually presents the diverse personalities and styles of users. 

Users can then choose to chat with people who have the same taste , providing a quick and easy way to find shared interests friends.



CUSTOMIZED MAKEUP PAGE

Another feature of this app is to assist men with makeup. Through customized options, users can select the purpose and occasion for their makeup. The app then recommends the most suitable looks based on each individual's face shape and skin type.

To address the issue of most men not knowing how to apply makeup, the app provides step-by-step tutorials. After the tutorials, it recommends the best products suited to them, which they can choose to purchase either through the app or in-store.




CAMPAIGN POSTERS

After interviewing users of the "HE" app, I created a series of promotional posters aimed at conveying how each user became more self-confident and self-loving after using the app. 

These posters feature men with various personalities, professions, and styles—some who enjoy makeup, fashion, and jewelry, others who are fitness enthusiasts, and those who are focused on their careers. This series of promotional posters aims to raise awareness of the platform and highlight the rich diversity of humanity.
